Student Council is one of the sources at Woodland that produces events that keep students entertained and interested.
Black and Gold
A Black and Gold Ball was being planned for March 27th. However, due to the lack of ticket sales, the dance was cancelled.
Extra Holidays
A bill was recently passed regarding whether Regional District 16 should have Muslim Holidays off. They are also planning the Freshman Orientation which was originally planned by the Executive Board last year.
Election Day
The WRSC and Class officer elections will be held in May. The student council is hoping that this will be a major success as it was last year. The WRSC banquet and awards night is also being planned for the end of the year.
Food Drive
The first event was the canned food drive. The school goal was to receive 50,000 to 60,000 points. Although the school received 24,184 points the drive was still successful.
The 1st place advisory was Mrs. Papa’s. The 2nd place advisory was Mrs. Kieseli’s.
Penny War
The next event that was recently held was the Penny Wars which went on from March 30th to April 9th. All of the proceeds will go toward the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The winning class will be determined Monday, April 20th after the break.
