Poll: Holidays
Everything seems to be working fine; leave it as is.
No favorites--take out any holidays that have to do with religious beliefs.
Depending on school population, certain holidays should be added to the calendar.
Be fair--add all major religious holidays to the calendar.
Who cares--More holidays would be great!

A new "Journey" begins at Woodland

The January edition of the literary magazine will be available to students the 20th through the 23rd.

It is titled, “Journey,” and unlike the other literary magazines, such as “contact” and “under the bed,” Journey only contains the work of Creative Writing students, which makes it unique.

Journey is a very important magazine to the Creative Writing department, because it shows its readers what students in Creative Writing have accomplished.

Micelle Papa, the head of the Creative Writing department, said, “Many of the pieces in the magazine are works in progress, so they may appear differently in future magazines.”  The interesting thing about this magazine is that it not only shows what the Creative Writers have done, but how much they have progressed.

Creative Writing students can display their favorite pieces through Journey and inspire others to join the department.

This magazine means a lot to the Creative Writers since it only their work being displayed.  It allows them to express themselves and make an impression on other people with their writing.

One of the advanced Creative Writing students, Jessica Cianci, said, “The special thing about the magazine is that it is a place for Creative Writing students to express themselves through writing.”

Journey will only be 2 dollars, and it will be sold in front of the library before, and between exams.  All of the Creative Writers put their hearts into this magazine, and they hope that everyone who buys the magazine will enjoy reading their work.
