With the holiday’s right around the corner, the Life Skills class made several neat initiatives to make others happy.
Recently the life skills group and their teacher, Christina Myers visited the Beacon Falls senior center and will again be visiting Monday December 15th to give the seniors some Holiday cheer and excitement.
They also did a scavenger hunt at The Christmas Tree Shop to learn how to price items and find the best Holiday sales. With that knowledge the life skills group and Myers will take a field trip to the local mall, to Holiday shop for their individual families.
“I just love going on field trips, they like it too and we are all just like a big family,” said Myers.
Also the life skills students made Christmas cards for the troops in Iraq. All of these sweet gestures are what the true sprit of Christmas should be about.
But these creative activities and productive trips are not free. In return the life skills kids make homemade “Breakfast Sandwiches” for the staff to purchase. This is what raises money for bus costs and lunch.
The life skills group should be appreciated for all the thoughtful things they do for Woodland and the community.
Known for their specialty breakfast sandwiches, caring gestures and outgoing personalities, the life skills class is one remarkable group.
