YOU Can Go Green

You don’t have to be a tree-hugger to make your “green footprints.”  There are many things teenagers can do to make a difference.

Unplug cell-phone chargers and laptop charger.  Your electronics will be charged long before morning comes and all that extra electricity will be wasted.  Also, remember to turn off lights behind you when leaving an empty room.

Buy a refillable water bottle.  Refilling your bottle cuts down on plastics produced for the bottles, and reduces the number of bottles littering the nation.

Turn the water off while brushing your teeth.  Turning off the water shrinks the electricity cost to run the faucet.

Buy rechargeable batteries.  When batteries are thrown in the trash, acid waste increases.  To keep this amount, and costs, at a minimum, buy rechargeable batteries.

Get your friends to go green!  It’s easier to make green changes in your life if you have a strong support system.
